Is it worth getting Fallout New Vegas even with all the bugs?

I have Fallout 3 for the Ps3, and love it. I have beaten most of the story line, and like the gameplay and want New Vegas. But i heard there are so many bugs that the experience is not as good as Fallout 3. I want to get it for my Xbox so i can play it off the hard drive and lessen load times. Is it worth getting, are most of the bugs fixed through patches?
